And now the year officially gets going with brilliant release by Mark Van Hoen. “The Revenant Diary” is out this month on Editions Mego and arguably it’s his pinnacle, truly haunting piece of weighted beats, analogue synthesizer drones and granular dirt and the unidentified, siren-like female voices. To coincide with the release of new album, Mark Van Hoen has put together a special, equally evocative mixtape for Pontone.

Unsound Reminiscences Vol. 2: Future Shock in Poland

The second set by Pontone from The Information Pylon showcase in Klub RE during Unsound Festival (16th October 2011), entirely based on Polish experimental and electronic stuff, mainly from Polish Radio Experimental Studio mixed with some forgotten classics from El-Muzyka scene (Polish pompous and quite kitchy electronic music inspired by Jarre, New Age and Kraftwerk). This is the real Future Shock in Poland.

Unsound Festival 2011: Primer

We are really proud to announce that we will be DJing at the Unsound Festivel in Krakow, Poland next month. The theme of the festival is Alvin Toffler’s “Future Shock”, and you can read FACT’s guide here. And here is our short primer-mix of tracks from selected artists who will be playing at the festival.

We’ll be playing on the final day, as part of the Information Pylon with DJ intervensions between the shows. Big thanks to Jonny Mugwump, who just launched a label Exotic Pylon Records.
