Especially interested in the book that Joseph is writing on the overlap between 80's pop and today's lo-fi music. Very interesting. Hearing Thomas Dolby again after all these years was a distinct pleasure. I played that album to death while living in LA in the 80's. Also interested in hearing more by Hype Williams although I'm still having a little trouble identifying some of the artists as I listed to the mixtape mostly in my car. Love the car horn sounds as at first I thought people were beeping at me. This is a brilliant mix tape. I always liked Phil's voice (and drumming) but now he's not so smugly ubiquitous (and I'm older and more wornd own) he doesn't raise hackles so readily.
